I'll keep it short, and to the point.


As an pure raw artist, I am appaled by the passive stance of today's raw artists. The artists of today have pretty much sold their souls to the devil, and for what? Fame ? A layout in a mag? Selfishness? From where I sit, we have allowed those who claim that they know art to ruin the profession that we love so dearly. We have allowed the gallery owners, the middlemen, and to some extent - our patrons, to tell us what we should paint, how we should feel as we paint, and the like. As artists, it is OUR vision, OUR profession, OUR tools, OUR blood, OUR sweat, and yes... OUR angst, that drive us to do what we love. The gallery owners do not understand this. How could they? Especially when all they see are dollar signs...They are only in it for themselves. The middlemen are in it to take more than they should...and the patron? They buy because it's like a trophy to them. Most patrons of today do not even appreciate the artwork, much less the artist. As an fellow artist, I urge all pure artists to commit to those who ACTUALLY care about the artist as he or she is, not for what the world in large wants them to be. This passivity has to stop...or we will lose the one pure gift that God has given us.

Today is the first full day of spring. Joy. Now somebody shoot me before the fun starts to wear off. I know people get all nutted up over the seasonal change, but not me. Why ? Simple. I have to endure watching all the losers, degenerates, and wannabe's come out of those little myopic closets, and announce their arrival to a world that pretty much wants to die.... It's a rather sick thing to see...Think about it, all these pathetic masses of life yapping about how much new bling they claim they have, or nodding their heads to something that they could never relate to, and the worst of all ? Watching all the jailbait running rampant in the streets in clothing that would make Beyonce jealous. I know it's been one day already.... but I'm already starting to miss winter...Then again, I hope all the losers and knuckleheads of this sick world would just fall of the earth instead, then....maybe I wouldn't be so harsh towards spring. Don't believe me ? Take a look around you when you step outside...just don't get caught up in the oncoming storm of generation me : spring revival 2007.
